【摘要】:ThisStandardcoverspumpingsystems,whicharedefinedasoneormorepumpsandthoseinteractingorinterrelatingelementsthattogetheraccomplishthedesiredworkofmovingafluid.Apumpingsystemthusgenerallyincludespump(s),driver,drives,distributionpiping,valves,sealingsystems,controls,instrumentation,andenduseequipmentsuchasheatexchangers,forexample.Thisstandardaddressesopenandclosedlooppumpingsystemstypicallyusedinindustry,andisalsoapplicabletootherapplications.ThisStandardsetstherequirementsforconductingandreportingtheresultsofapumpingsystemassessment(hereafterreferencedasan"assessment")thatconsiderstheentirepumpingsystem,fromenergyinputstotheworkperformedastheresultoftheseinputs.Anassessmentcomplyingwiththisstandardneednotaddresseachindividualsystemcomponentorsubsystemwithinanindustrialfacilitywithequalweight;however,itmustbesufficientlycomprehensivetoidentifythemajorefficiencyimprovementopportunitiesforimprovingtheoverallenergyperformanceofthesystem.Thisstandardisdesignedtobeappliedprimarilyatindustrialfacilities,butmanyoftheconceptscanbeusedinotherfacilitiessuchasthoseintheinstitutional,commercial,andwaterandwastewaterfacilities.
